The skin cleansing regime has taken a significant role in many of our lives with the increased use of make-up and the trend of K-beauty. But for many, going through a whole regime of skin cleansing can get pretty tiring and time-consuming and that’s where micellar water steps in and saves us all from the hassle of long regimes. For much micellar water has become a holy grail and the most reliable choice so here we are to let you know all about micellar water.

If you are new to micellar water or if you already own one and want to know more about it in-depth then, micellar water might be simple from its name but actually, it is based on micellar technology that uses micelles a ‘complex structure of gentle non-iconic surfactants’ consisting of a hydrophilic head that is water-soluble and a lipophilic tail that attracts(pulls) oily materials that are incompatible with water. This gives micellar water a property where it can remove external residues from the environment such as make-up and air pollution-related impurities and impurities related to skin such as sebum and sweat.

Micellar Water is also very different from regular water. Tap water contains calcium and chlorine that may irritate the skin while thermal waters have no cleansing properties in them.

Bioderma micellar water was invented in 1991, revolutionizing the cleansing and make-up removing way ahead of the time! It is recommended by make-up professionals as well as dermatologists, making it everyone’s favorite. Bioderma uses selected ingredients including, a fatty acid ester that is also known as the glycerol ester. It is a biomimetic active ingredient very similar to skin’s composition. This ingredient is the best match for sensitive skin hence, Bioderma Micellar water is a perfect pick for sensitive skin. Bioderma also uses a highly purified water that has a unique physiological pH of around 5.5 that is the safest one available and offers the highest level of chemical and microbiological purity. Bioderma Micellar Water is also free from any alcohol or parabens and is hypoallergenic, hence preserving the hydrolipidic film.

Bioderma Micellar Water comes in two types that are perfect for both, teens and adults.

Sensibio H2O is perfect for “Normal to combination skin”and “sensitive skin” – It soothes and prevents inflammatory risks as it is formulated with a pH of around 5.5. It contains highly purified water and complex 3 biomimetic soothing sugars to prevent the inflammatory process.

Sebium H2O that is perfect for “Combination to oily skin” and “acne-prone skin”- Enriched with purifying agents such as, zinc gluconate and copper sulfate, it not only purifies but also limits the sebaceous secretion.

Bioderma Micellar Water is pretty easy to use. All you need is an absorbent item such as cotton balls or cotton pads. Simply soak it in the micellar water and wipe it gently across your face. Carry on with the rest of your skincare regime. You can also use a deeper cleanser afterward. (Check out my video on double cleansing linked below)

As a daily cleanser, you can use it to clean your face before applying facial care products or even after a workout or make-up mishap. Cleanse in the morning and evening to remove dirt and impurities build-up accumulated on your skin and to de-toxify.

Bio-derma Micellar Water is all you need for a fresh and grime-free face. Fit it in your existing skincare routine to unclog pores and remove all kinds of pollutants. It is a great and light go-to for everyone conscious about their skin. Make it your lifestyle and your skin will thank you later!
